Dalia Pascal

Dalia Pascal

Although she was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Dalia Pascal’s move to Mexico as a teen has had the most profound impact on her jewelry and accessory design, which is infused with the colors, textures and artistry of the country.

Educated as a graphic artist, Pascal later studied silverwork and quickly began to innovate, incorporating gemstones into her designs as well as artisanal elements found only in Mexico. Classic, traditional materials and components with a splash of the latest trends – that’s what sets Pascal’s work apart.

Pascal’s devotion to the traditions of Mexican artisans is not only apparent her design, she has also worked and advocated to help continue and nurture those traditions. With assistance from several government institutions, she established training programs for children of the artists with whom she’s collaborated as well as other young people interested in the craft. She knew that with regular work and fair pay for artists, this kind of craftsmanship would thrive for generations. Pascal’s jewelry, accessories and mission have been featured in publications such as Daily Candy, Vogue, InStyle, Elle, Marie Claire and Bazaar. And in McClatchy, you can read about her selection by Mattel to design a tiny gown with ethnic jewelry for Barbie’s 50th anniversary showcase in Mexico City.
